At Monarch, we pride ourselves on constantly searching and striving to bring you the latest and most exciting wines in the world, but this wouldn't be possible without the strong relationships we've built with our import partners. These are the folks who are on the ground with us in Europe, tasting and visiting with new winemakers, facilitating our many incredible discoveries and importing them to the US.
Next Thursday, I'm extremely excited to welcome our latest import partner Jeffrey Alpertto the shop! For 25 years, Jeffrey has been at the forefront of bringing some of France's smallest and most dynamic producers to the American market. The winemakers he represents have become hallmarks for a generation of enthusiasts who covet artisan wines made at family run domaines. Because of him, small shops like ours are able to introduce you to some of the most interesting and hard to find wines on the planet.
He will be pouring a massive and varied range of French (and only French) wines, from Burgundy to the Rhône Valley, and beyond.None of which have ever been available in Charleston before!
