A rare, original clone of Northern Rhône Syrah locally known as Serine, planted in 1930! Organically grown on a mixture of limestone and clay. The grapes are hand-harvested and ferment spontaneously using full bunches in concrete tanks, then racked into large, used oak barrels to age for four years before being bottled without fining or filtering.
A bold and assertive wine boasting black currant, blackberry, dark chocolate, lavender, white pepper and a touch of savory cured meat. There's a creamy, mouth coating quality to the palate with flavors of grilled plum, Périgord truffle and mesquite, backed by graphite minerality and lively, brambly fruit. A deeply concentrated Syrah of historic proportions.
