100% Chenin Blanc grown on the classic Loire limestone soil of tuffeaux. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented with ambient yeast in giant 12 hectoliter oak barrels. The wine is then racked into a combination of large, used oak for one year before being bottled with a light filtration.
A pristine, crystalline wine with aromas of lemon, key lime, grapefruit zest and Anjou pear. The palate displays the uncommon ability to be incredibly refreshing without lacking concentration. A saline mineral midpalate is deftly offset by crunchy orchard fruits and zippy acidity. I’ll be reaching for this wine all summer long.
