100% Chardonnay from an 80 year-old vineyard farmed biodynamically on marl soils. The grapes were hand harvested and fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel, then racked into used 300L French oak barrels for aging. A deep and dense nose of lemon, tart apple, apricot, fresh ginger and a touch of bees wax. The palate is crystal clear, flowing with bright citrus and crisp, white orchard fruit accented by salty minerals and a faint hint of vanilla bean on the long finish. A brilliant wine to be savored.
