Exclusive: 2021 Quentin Bourse Rouge

No matter the cost, we make it our mission to continuously source wines that stun us. However, finding extraordinary wines, expertly made with meticulously farmed fruit, at prices as low as today's wine, has proven near impossible in the current market.

Enter this Loire Valley red, whose complexity, balance and mineral depth defy it's price. An absolutely stunning wine who's scarcity lies in its prodigious value. Quentin Bourse's wines are no stranger to our shelves, his wines bottled under Le Sot d'Ange label are wines you might recognize. Now though, as he surpasses a decade making wine, Quentin has begun bottling under his own name. A decision made with conviction, as he believes these are his best wines yet.

Trust us, it's only a matter of time before people catch on to how just how good this new wine is. Simply put, this wine won't stay inexpensive for long. We snatched up every bottle available, and are thrilled to offer it at a sharp discount today.
A blend of Gamay and Grolleau from biodynamically farmed vines in Azay-le-Rideau. Harvested manually and fermented using whole bunches in stainless steel tanks to preserve purity of fruit. After a short aging period, the wine is bottled without fining or filtering.

A bombastic nose with aromas of black raspberry, cassis, espresso roast and earthy floral notes. The palate is awash in juicy, brambly black fruits complemented by cola spice and faint savory herbs. Again, the level of elegance, concentration and depth here is just mind-blowing given the cost.
Quentin Bourse has spent the past ten years dedicated to his vines. While his career as a winemaker didn't start out with the intention to become one, his pivot to wine was unstoppable as soon as it started. He worked several internships at wineries across the Loire, spending a formative 6 months at the prestigious Domaine Huet, where he learned to become the perfectionist he is today.

Under his own name and the Le Sot d'Ange label, Quentin has become a serious advocate for biodynamic farming and minimal intervention in winemaking, something especially hard in the cold climate of Azay-le-Rideau. His efforts are a testament to what one can accomplish with sheer dedication. His are some of the Loire Valley's most exciting wines.
